Water damage restoration is a race against the clock. Water spreads through drywall, subfloor and framing within hours, and what starts as a clean supply-line leak becomes a contaminated, mold-friendly problem in a couple of days. Here is exactly what happens when you call New Armor Restoration.
1. A real person answers, 24/7. Not a call center reading a script — often one of the owners. We ask what happened, where the property is, and whether the water is still running, so the crew arrives knowing what they are walking into.
2. We are on site in 60 minutes or less. Our trucks carry extraction units, air movers, dehumidifiers and moisture meters, so mitigation starts on the first visit instead of waiting on an equipment run.
3. We stop the spread and document everything. Standing water gets extracted, affected materials get mapped with moisture readings, and every step is photographed. That documentation is what your insurance carrier needs to evaluate the loss properly.
4. We dry it, verify it, and rebuild it. Structural drying is monitored daily against IICRC S500 standards until the readings say the structure is dry — not until it looks dry. If reconstruction is needed, the same team handles it.
One team from the emergency call through the final repair, so nothing gets lost in a handoff between vendors.
Minutes to 1 hour: water is absorbed into drywall, carpet, padding and subfloor. Extraction now prevents most of the damage that follows.
1 to 24 hours: drywall swells, baseboards and trim warp, laminate and engineered wood begin to delaminate, and the smell starts.
24 to 48 hours: mold growth can begin on damp organic material. Clean water starts degrading toward contaminated water.
72 hours and beyond: what was a drying job becomes a demolition, remediation and rebuild job — often several times the cost. This is why we answer at 3:00 in the morning.
We are based in North Richland Hills and cover the DFW metroplex: Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving and Las Colinas, Grapevine, Southlake, Keller, Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Trophy Club, Westlake, Colleyville, Grand Prairie and the surrounding communities.
North Texas has its own failure patterns. Homes here sit on slab or pier-and-beam rather than basements, so leaks show up as slab leaks and crawl space water instead of flooded lower levels. Hail season damages roofs that then leak into ceilings. Winter freezes burst pipes in uninsulated attics and exterior walls. Summer runs air conditioners hard enough that condensate lines clog and drain pans overflow into ceilings — a leak with no plumbing anywhere near it.
Husband-and-wife veteran-owned. Jeremy and Angela Berg are veterans — Air Force and Marine Corps — and they run this company the way they were trained: show up prepared, communicate clearly, finish the details, own the outcome.
Credentialed, not just confident. IICRC Certified Firm #70143549, Texas Licensed Mold Remediation Company #RCO1728, EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm #NAT-F296429-1, licensed and insured, serving DFW since 2012.
Documentation that holds up. Photos, moisture logs and daily readings on every job. We provide insurance claim documentation support — we do not promise coverage or approval, because no honest restoration company can.
Real crews on real jobs. The photos on this site are our technicians on actual DFW properties, not stock images.
How fast can you get here? On site in 60 minutes or less across our DFW service area, 24 hours a day.
What should I do before you arrive? Shut off the water source if you safely can, kill power to affected areas at the breaker, and take photos of everything. Do not walk through standing water near outlets or run a household vacuum on it.
Will my insurance cover this? That is your carrier’s decision, not ours. What we control is documenting the loss thoroughly and accurately so the carrier can evaluate it — that is the part most people get wrong on their own.
How long does drying take? Most residential water losses dry in three to five days depending on materials, saturation and airflow. We monitor daily and stop when the moisture readings say the structure is dry.
Do you handle the repairs too, or just the drying? Both. Mitigation and reconstruction are the same team, so there is no gap between drying the property and putting it back together.
