I’m very grateful for the amazing service we received from the group of Juan Mendez. From start to finish, they were professional, patient, and made sure we were satisfied . They went above and beyond to make the whole experience easy and stress-free for us. I truly felt cared for and supported the entire time. It was a wonderful experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to them if I ever need their help again. Highly recommend their team to anyone looking for great service and peace of mind!

Juan Mendez and his crew did an EXCELLENT job in remediation, restoration and pack in / pack out at our house after we had a water leak. He and his crew were very professional, courteous and hard working. They were very detail oriented and thorough. When we first discovered the leak, Jeremy responded very quickly to help us understand the process and what we needed to do. I would HIGHLY recommend them if you need restoration services!

I would absolutely recommend them to friends and family! They did water mitigation in our house after some water from a flash flood got into our bedroom. Jeremy was awesome and worked within our budget to get the job done.

New Armor Restoration saved us during a horrible time in our lives. I called them at 3:45 in the morning and the owner himself picked up the phone when he heard the panic in my voice. Our entire bottom floor flooded and we needed help. They were there within 1 hour, introducing themselves and getting to work. Not only were they quickly working to rectify the problem, they were continually putting me at ease. It’s hard having strangers in your home, but the professionalism of all these guys (special shout out to Juan!), made the whole experience so much easier. He has such a vast knowledge of water mitigation; he explained everything they were doing and the overall picture of what the next few days would entail. They were so nice and understanding when we found out our homeowners insurance didn’t cover water damage 🤦🏼‍♀️ but worked with me to find a solution that accommodated us all. Guys, I strongly recommend you use this company for any water damage repairs. Juan, Jeremy and Jackson, thank you so much! I have you saved in my phone and will refer any of my friends, family and coworkers to you!

We hired New Armor to mitigate and repair significant water damage to our home. They were super helpful, professional and operated with a sense of urgency. They were extremely helpful coordinating with insurance as well. This is a full service water mitigation and reconstruction company - one call and they can handle the job from beginning to end. Even when there were issues during the process they always listened and responded to our concerns in a timely fashion and made it right. Our home is back to like the damage never occurred! Highly recommend!

Because of Juan and Marcelino, we found out that part of the issue was poor quality control from the get go (the builder put in a broken window frame in a brand new house. Thanks David Weekly.) and we were able to fix the actual problem. They kept it CLEAN the entire time too. They found the issue, let us know, and didn't screw us by covering it up. We called them when it was safe to complete the project and they were out quickly. The final project was completed this week, and holy moly!! Absolutely amazing work. Juan is a great project manager and Marcelino's work is IMPECCABLE. It looks better than it did when we bought it brand new honestly. Communication was great. I'm having them come out soon to look at the wood pillars on our back porch that are rotting from the inside out because David Weekly put wood pillars on concrete without braces. 😃😃😃😃 Pricing is fair. The work is quick and done right. Highly recommend! The owners are fantastic too. All around it's a fantastic company and we highly recommend.

We found a small water leak going behind a wall in our bathroom and called New Armor. First point of contact was Mr. Jackson, great to speak with on the phone. They were fast to get to our house and get the situation stabilized. Juan Mendez and his team have been excellent during the mitigation process. So far overall a great professional company to work with and highly recommend using if you find any water issues in your house.

New Armor is outstanding! They came out within 30 minutes of our call due to an AC drain leak. They were the second team we called to look at our issue. They were much more thorough using thermal guns and multiple meters to measure moisture. We had an immediate confidence in their ability and recommendations. Not 35 minutes after they arrived they had fans on our area and got us all fixed up for a very fair price. Their technicians also came out to check everything and make sure we were drying properly. I cannot recommend these guys enough!

Water Damage Restoration in DFW: What Happens After You Call

Water damage restoration is a race against the clock. Water spreads through drywall, subfloor and framing within hours, and what starts as a clean supply-line leak becomes a contaminated, mold-friendly problem in a couple of days. Here is exactly what happens when you call New Armor Restoration.

1. A real person answers, 24/7. Not a call center reading a script — often one of the owners. We ask what happened, where the property is, and whether the water is still running, so the crew arrives knowing what they are walking into.

2. We are on site in 60 minutes or less. Our trucks carry extraction units, air movers, dehumidifiers and moisture meters, so mitigation starts on the first visit instead of waiting on an equipment run.

3. We stop the spread and document everything. Standing water gets extracted, affected materials get mapped with moisture readings, and every step is photographed. That documentation is what your insurance carrier needs to evaluate the loss properly.

4. We dry it, verify it, and rebuild it. Structural drying is monitored daily against IICRC S500 standards until the readings say the structure is dry — not until it looks dry. If reconstruction is needed, the same team handles it.

Restoration Services Across Dallas–Fort Worth

One team from the emergency call through the final repair, so nothing gets lost in a handoff between vendors.

Why the First Few Hours Decide the Cost

Minutes to 1 hour: water is absorbed into drywall, carpet, padding and subfloor. Extraction now prevents most of the damage that follows.

1 to 24 hours: drywall swells, baseboards and trim warp, laminate and engineered wood begin to delaminate, and the smell starts.

24 to 48 hours: mold growth can begin on damp organic material. Clean water starts degrading toward contaminated water.

72 hours and beyond: what was a drying job becomes a demolition, remediation and rebuild job — often several times the cost. This is why we answer at 3:00 in the morning.

Serving Dallas, Fort Worth and the Surrounding Metroplex

We are based in North Richland Hills and cover the DFW metroplex: Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving and Las Colinas, Grapevine, Southlake, Keller, Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Trophy Club, Westlake, Colleyville, Grand Prairie and the surrounding communities.

North Texas has its own failure patterns. Homes here sit on slab or pier-and-beam rather than basements, so leaks show up as slab leaks and crawl space water instead of flooded lower levels. Hail season damages roofs that then leak into ceilings. Winter freezes burst pipes in uninsulated attics and exterior walls. Summer runs air conditioners hard enough that condensate lines clog and drain pans overflow into ceilings — a leak with no plumbing anywhere near it.

Why DFW Property Owners Call New Armor Restoration

Husband-and-wife veteran-owned. Jeremy and Angela Berg are veterans — Air Force and Marine Corps — and they run this company the way they were trained: show up prepared, communicate clearly, finish the details, own the outcome.

Credentialed, not just confident. IICRC Certified Firm #70143549, Texas Licensed Mold Remediation Company #RCO1728, EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm #NAT-F296429-1, licensed and insured, serving DFW since 2012.

Documentation that holds up. Photos, moisture logs and daily readings on every job. We provide insurance claim documentation support — we do not promise coverage or approval, because no honest restoration company can.

Real crews on real jobs. The photos on this site are our technicians on actual DFW properties, not stock images.

Water Damage Restoration FAQs

How fast can you get here? On site in 60 minutes or less across our DFW service area, 24 hours a day.

What should I do before you arrive? Shut off the water source if you safely can, kill power to affected areas at the breaker, and take photos of everything. Do not walk through standing water near outlets or run a household vacuum on it.

Will my insurance cover this? That is your carrier’s decision, not ours. What we control is documenting the loss thoroughly and accurately so the carrier can evaluate it — that is the part most people get wrong on their own.

How long does drying take? Most residential water losses dry in three to five days depending on materials, saturation and airflow. We monitor daily and stop when the moisture readings say the structure is dry.

Do you handle the repairs too, or just the drying? Both. Mitigation and reconstruction are the same team, so there is no gap between drying the property and putting it back together.
